A cleric for Kelemvor, Anera strives to maintain the balance between life and death. Though you find yourselves fighting for the same cause, Anera's blood-ties threaten to disrupt her way of life.

Although a fighter by trade, Nooble strives to become a paladin for Lathander. As his guardian, you must choose to help him on his holy quest, or perhaps take him down a darker road.
Teira ran away from her home among the Red Wizards and travelled across Faerūn. She now makes her living as a small time burglar, though she seems to be in an unfortunate situation when you first meet.
Josura Hlammel is the high priestess of the temple of Lathender in Scornubel. She has known the party for many years, watching them chase each other through the temple's halls. Now that the group is ready to leave Scornubel, she asks that they postpone their adventures to undertake a small task.
While born a halfling, Thistle gave up his cozy home in the hills for a life of travel and trade. After some scrapes with Zhentarim raiders, he spent a few weeks at the Temple of Lathander. It was then when he met and befriended Josura, who occasionally asks favors of him.

Thistle's trading wagon can be seen all along the Trade Way, though he's been spotted far to the east on occasion.
Captain Preth has been in long service to the Red Shields of Scornubel. Several weeks ago, he departed for the Trielta Hills to investigate recent Zhentarim incursions. He is a sturdy leader and will follow his orders without question. He was born in Waterdeep, working in the local militia. After several years, the lure of adventuring took him south.

One cold night near Scornubel, his entire party was slaughtered by bandits. He was left for dead and was found by a passing merchant. Since then, he has protected the caravans of Scornubel, showing little mercy towards those he encounters.
A rouge by trade and disposition, Shrak finds glee in misdirection and the despair of others. He serves no master other than his next piece of gold. His latest mission is one that suits him well, as the innocent fall to their own blades in ways he finds most comical.

Those who trespass in Shrak's domain should beware, as it is likely that the shadowed corners hold more than dust.
Terribly scarred by his many battles in the Zhenarim cause, Captain Merjon epitomises the Zhentish ideal. He is devious and plotting, showing little mercy when required, but rewarding obedience as a necessity.
Menos is the current mayor of Hill's Edge, though it is questionable if it truly leads. Zhentarim influence is strong in this area and it is widely assumed that he is merely a figurehead. Menos lives as lavish a lifestyle as can be managed in this backwater town. His past is marked with a series of failed trade dealings, and it is uncertain where he obtains the gold for his opulent parties and fineries.

Quincel keeps the temple of Cyric at Hill's Edge with a firm grip. She has recently been given commands to follow a new, unpleasant master. Her tendency is to follow the letter of her god's urgings, while making sure she ends up in a position of power when her task is complete.

Her research into matters arcane has led her to whispers of ancient gods and dark contracts.
A master of dark transformations, Tal'nash took up residence in the ancient tunnels of Skull Gorge. For the last hundred years, he has been chasing rumors and crumbling writings that suggest that the power of a lost god can still be found in these dark passageways.

Jered's past is clouded in mystery. While he has no natural parents, he believes himself to be human. His powers are those of a cleric, but he worships no god and knows not the source of his magic. He strives to discover himself, though what he finds he may not like.

Phthta has practiced the art of necromancy for untold centuries. Evil by necessity, she is considered kind by her undead legions. She lives within the Battle of Bones among the company of wights, zombies, and other long-dead creatures. She is difficult to reach, as Phthta's domain is rich with those that feast on the living.

It is spoken that Orrick was merely an apprentice only a few years ago when a chance discovery allowed him to harness great powers. He is now a key player among the other necromancers at the Battle of Bones, though the other dark mages have little good will towards such an upstart.
